System solutions along the entire value-added chain

• Premium lifting technology for lifting and positioning construction machinery and mounting machine components
• DGUV-certified lifting points with defined nominal WLL as an alternative to unsafe in-house solutions
• Centre of excellence for lashing equipment and practical examples of load securing

Aalen, March 2025 – RUD will be exhibiting system solutions for the safe lifting and positioning of construction machinery and attachments as well as for load securing in machine transport at bauma 2025 (7 to 13 April in Munich, outdoor area FN.1019/5). The focus is on professional lifting and lashing points, such as the complete range of all-round load-bearing lifting points and the self-aligning ACP-TURNADO, as well as high-quality OX+RUD lifting beam solutions for the lifting and transport of large machines and machine components. The RUD lashing of a Kässbohrer PowerBully on a Goldhofer low loader can also be seen at the Goldhofer stand (FN.819) in the lashing equipment competence area. The exhibition is rounded off by information on consultancy and digital services.

Demanding lifting and lashing processes accompany the entire value chain of construction machinery, from the assembly of heavy components and the transport of machines to their positioning on site or their repair after wear occurrence. RUD presents itself as a provider of system solutions for all these stations: At bauma 2025, the specialist for lifting and lashing equipment will be presenting a wide range of high-quality lifting points, chain suspensions, lashing chains and lashing points that enable users to safely lift, position and transport construction machinery and machine parts.

Premium lifting points versus in-house solutions

One of the highlights of the exhibition will be information on safe and economical lifting and lashing point solutions. The extremely unsafe do-it-yourself solutions that are still very common in the construction machinery industry, such as self-made padeyes, will be confronted with professional lifting and lashing points on the stand. Such “home-made” solutions often exhibit critical deformation after the very first lift, posing a significant risk to the safety and cost-effectiveness of the application. On the other hand, presentations on the stand will show the technical and economic advantages of using the tried and tested RUD lifting and lashing points, which can be bolted and welded and can be loaded from all sides. These high-strength lifting and lashing points are optimised for use with hooks. As solutions with a defined WLL or lashing capacities, they comply with all applicable legislation and standards. Ultimately, they offer users a level of safety that DIY solutions are a long way from providing – as they usually have no defined WLL or lashing forces, and certainly do not comply with existing legislation and standards. What’s more, RUD’s all-round lifting and lashing points take up significantly less space than comparable in-house designs, providing a safe and economical solution even where space is at a premium.

Intelligent lifting point for lifting and lashing

The innovative ACP-TURNADO lifting point, whose intelligent spring mechanism proactively prevents the lift bail from remaining upright under transverse loads, will also be on display in the lifting and lashing points area of the stand. Instead, the lift bail automatically aligns itself in the direction of pull, providing optimum support for secure lashing and preventing critical side loads or jerky load drops with delayed self-alignment during all lifting and positioning operations. The ACP-TURNADO is made of high-strength steel and has a load-bearing capacity of up to 12.5 tonnes with a thread size of M36 with fourfold safety. Thanks to its double design factor when lashing, it has a securing force of 25,000 decaNewtons. It is therefore also used as a lashing point for heavy goods transport, among other things.

Premium OX+RUD lifting beam solutions

In addition to the lifting points, RUD will also be exhibiting modular and perforated lifting beams from the joint venture OX+RUD Lifting, which integrates the world-renowned premium lifting beam solutions of RUD’s Spanish subsidiary OX Lifting into the RUD portfolio. The OX+RUD lifting beams on the stand are mainly used for large construction machinery and attachments and are often indispensable for lifting, positioning and transporting such machinery and components, often enabling objects of this size to be attached and lashed in the first place. They also ensure optimum load distribution and angle conditions at all times, even for asymmetric objects with very uneven weight distribution – and even at low lift heights. In particular, the high flexibility of the module lifting beams allows them to be precisely adapted to all types of loads, ensuring that they can be reused in changing application scenarios.

Components and digital tools for chain suspensions

In addition to the OX+RUD lifting beam solutions, RUD also provides information on its configurators for lifting means and lifting points, which can be used to determine and order the appropriate chain suspensions and lifting points step by step. Also on show will be the RUD BUDDYtron app, which allows users to access all the practical information about their solution on the spot in a matter of seconds after an NFC scan of the RFID transponder integrated in almost all RUD products – from technical data to operating instructions, including instructions for visual inspection.

Extensive information and practical examples for securing loads

In the area of load securing for machine transport, RUD is once again presenting itself as a centre of excellence for lashing equipment. As well as providing a detailed insight into its portfolio of lashing chain and lashing point solutions, the company also offers information on how to get personal advice. Visitors to the stand can also get to know the RUD lashing means calculation app, which can be used to determine all the important parameters for load securing and lashing equipment selection for transport on lorries, rail vehicles or ships. In addition to this basic information, an example of lashing a Kässbohrer PowerBully to a Goldhofer low loader using RUD lashing equipment can also be seen at bauma (Goldhofer stand FN.819). This model solution is the result of the membership of all three partner companies in the South German bauma Alliance and has recently been purchased as a complete package by a well-known construction and logistics company.
