Dr. Michael Müller (38) is the new General Manager of LWL-Sachsenkabel GmbH from 1st January 2023. Michael Müller who holds a PhD in mechanical engineering, succeeds Silvia Duus, who will retire after 15 years leading the company. He aims to continue the growth strategy of the established fiber optic cabling specialist and, above all, take advantage of the business opportunities in the field of broadband development.
LWL-Sachsenkabel GmbH has expanded its production capacity in the field of fiber optic solutions for industry and science. With the opening of a new production facility, the company is responding to the increasing demand for customized special products and expanding its product range of fiber optic solutions for laser and laboratory technology as well as medicine, spectroscopy, and sensor technology.
At Photonics West 2022, CeramOptec will present high-performance optical fibers for industrial, medical and laboratory applications. Emphasized are solutions for surface treatment and long-term UV applications. In addition to individual fibers, optical fiber bundles in various configurations will be introduced as well.
The acquisition, of fiber optic specialist LWL-Sachsenkabel GmbH, by the US-based Amphenol Corporation will offer opportunities for future business development. With a wide range of collaborative opportunities with the internationally operating parent company, the Saxon company can expect a significant solution portfolio expansion as well as further international expansion of business activities.
