formnext 2025: Laserline Presents First 30 kW Zoom Optics

Laserline will be presenting innovative optics solutions for industrial laser cladding at formnext 2025. The focus will be on a newly developed 30 kW zoom optic for flexible cladding processes, a new specialized optic for wear and corrosion protection coatings on internal geometries, and blue high brightness lasers for the additive manufacturing of non-ferrous metal components using laser-based powder bed processes.

Alliance for standard-compliant load securing

Transporting earth-moving machinery to the job site by heavy goods vehicle is part of the routine in many building projects. However, questions of load securing are not always accorded the appropriate importance – lashing points in particular often provide grounds for criticism. A joint project of Goldhofer AG, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG and RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG illustrates what a secure lashing solution should really look like. The construction and logistics company Max Wild GmbH is already using these vehicles.

SPIE Photonics West 2025: Laserline Presents Complete Range of Blue Diode Lasers for Copper and Gold Processing

Laserline will present its cutting-edge blue high-power diode lasers for processing copper and gold alloys at Photonics West 2025. A highlight of its showcase will be the world’s first blue 6 kW CW (continuous wave) diode laser, developed for high-efficiency laser cladding processes and additive manufacturing. The company will also highlight its blue high-brightness lasers designed for powder bed 3D metal printing. Additionally, Laserline will feature an infrared direct diode laser for drying battery foils.

Sustainable laser solutions for key industrial applications: Diode laser specialist Laserline at Photonics West 2024

At SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco, CA, High Power Diode Laser specialist Laserline, Inc. will be showcasing laser solutions for key industrial applications such as the production of electric copper components, semiconductor processing and the drying of lithium-ion batteries. The technology leader in the field of infrared and blue diode lasers has unique systems such as a blue CW laser with 4 kW output power and a blue 200 W pulse laser in its portfolio.

Blechexpo / Schweisstec 2019, Stuttgart: Laserline presents a hybrid concept for copper keyhole welding

Diode laser specialist Laserline will present at the Blechexpo / Schweisstec 2019 an infrared-blue hybrid concept for copper keyhole welding and possible solutions for heat conduction welding of thin non-ferrous metal components. Also on board are infrared lasers for welding steel sheets, different processing optics, and exhibits from industrial practice.

Battery cell production: Laser drying significantly reduces operating costs and required production space

Up until now, battery electrodes have been dried primarily in gas-operated conveyor furnaces. However, a recently developed approach based on diode lasers is noticeably superior to the convective drying process and for the first time makes it possible to produce laser-dried anodes and cathodes in a roll-to-roll process. A white paper by Laserline and staff from the PEM (Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components) group at RWTH Aachen University highlights the advantages of this diode laser-based electrode drying process and outlines the path to more efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly battery production.
