formnext 2025: Laserline Presents First 30 kW Zoom Optics

Laserline will be presenting innovative optics solutions for industrial laser cladding at formnext 2025. The focus will be on a newly developed 30 kW zoom optic for flexible cladding processes, a new specialized optic for wear and corrosion protection coatings on internal geometries, and blue high brightness lasers for the additive manufacturing of non-ferrous metal components using laser-based powder bed processes.

Alliance for standard-compliant load securing

Transporting earth-moving machinery to the job site by heavy goods vehicle is part of the routine in many building projects. However, questions of load securing are not always accorded the appropriate importance – lashing points in particular often provide grounds for criticism. A joint project of Goldhofer AG, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG and RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG illustrates what a secure lashing solution should really look like. The construction and logistics company Max Wild GmbH is already using these vehicles.

Safely transport earth-moving equipment: Goldhofer, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug, RUD and Max Wild advocate for the use of high-quality lashing points

Aalen, September 2025 – Better safety when transporting earth-moving equipment through standard-compliant lashing – this is the joint goal of vehicle manufacturers Goldhofer AG and Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG, sling and lashing equipment specialist RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG, and construction and logistics company Max Wild GmbH. A model project, first presented at bauma 2025, demonstrated how this may be achieved and will continue to serve as an example in the future.

The main topics include new high-efficiency diode lasers for economical and environmentally friendly battery drying and blue diode lasers for the effective processing of copper components for electric drive technology and power electronics.

Battery Show 2023: Laserline to exhibit energy-efficient applications for e-mobility

At the Battery Show 2023 Laserline will present energy-efficient solutions for industrial material processing in the field of electromobility. Key topics include copper welding with blue 3 kW cw diode lasers, brake disc cladding to reduce urban particulate pollution, laser drying processes for economical series manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries, and welding applications for sealing battery casings.

New record: UniversalAutomation.org now has more than 100 members

Brussels, March 5, 2025 – UniversalAutomation.org (UAO) has reached another milestone: Founded in late 2021 by nine companies, the independent non-profit organization, which uses its technology to promote a vendor-independent automation approach, today has more than 100 members.

Laserline LDMblue – The world’s first blue cw diode lasers with 1 kW output power

With the LDMblue high-power diode lasers, Laserline presents the world’s first blue diode lasers with cw output power of up to 1 kW at 450 nm wavelength. As the first industry lasers, the new LDMblue lasers allow for a controlled heat conduction welding of highly reflexive non-ferrous metals such as copper or gold. They are available in standard configurations with 1000, 500 or 300 W output power.

Wind of change brings digitalization: Schneider Electric at WindEnergy Hamburg 2022

At the wind industry's largest trade fair, Schneider Electric will present a comprehensive portfolio of digital solutions for safe and efficient wind farm operation. In addition to specialized hardware, software solutions from partners AVEVA and ETAP will also be on display.

Blechexpo / Schweisstec 2019, Stuttgart: Laserline presents a hybrid concept for copper keyhole welding

Diode laser specialist Laserline will present at the Blechexpo / Schweisstec 2019 an infrared-blue hybrid concept for copper keyhole welding and possible solutions for heat conduction welding of thin non-ferrous metal components. Also on board are infrared lasers for welding steel sheets, different processing optics, and exhibits from industrial practice.

“Green wave” at the Zurich New Year’s Eve Run

Schneider Electric is once again co-sponsoring the popular traditional run, and is also entering its own team – the “SE Green Runners”.

Battery cell production: Laser drying significantly reduces operating costs and required production space

Up until now, battery electrodes have been dried primarily in gas-operated conveyor furnaces. However, a recently developed approach based on diode lasers is noticeably superior to the convective drying process and for the first time makes it possible to produce laser-dried anodes and cathodes in a roll-to-roll process. A white paper by Laserline and staff from the PEM (Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components) group at RWTH Aachen University highlights the advantages of this diode laser-based electrode drying process and outlines the path to more efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly battery production.
