Focus on vendor-independent automation: UniversalAutomation.Org co-organized part of the event program for IEEE ETFA 2025. Leading figures from the academic community behind IEC 61499 were in attendance.

Laserline will be presenting innovative optics solutions for industrial laser cladding at formnext 2025. The focus will be on a newly developed 30 kW zoom optic for flexible cladding processes, a new specialized optic for wear and corrosion protection coatings on internal geometries, and blue high brightness lasers for the additive manufacturing of non-ferrous metal components using laser-based powder bed processes.

Transporting earth-moving machinery to the job site by heavy goods vehicle is part of the routine in many building projects. However, questions of load securing are not always accorded the appropriate importance – lashing points in particular often provide grounds for criticism. A joint project of Goldhofer AG, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG and RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG illustrates what a secure lashing solution should really look like. The construction and logistics company Max Wild GmbH is already using these vehicles.

Aalen, September 2025 – Better safety when transporting earth-moving equipment through standard-compliant lashing – this is the joint goal of vehicle manufacturers Goldhofer AG and Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG, sling and lashing equipment specialist RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG, and construction and logistics company Max Wild GmbH. A model project, first presented at bauma 2025, demonstrated how this may be achieved and will continue to serve as an example in the future.

Laserline will present a wide range of its diode lasers at Schweißen & Schneiden 2025. In addition to the new Blue High Brightness Laser for welding ultra-thin sheet metal structures, the focus will also be on solutions enabling more sustainable and efficient processing.

Under the watchword ‘Digital Laser Solutions’, Laserline has expanded its portfolio with hardware and software solutions for the implementation of fully networked Industrie 4.0 process architectures. All Laserline LDF diode lasers are with immediate effect ex works available with OPC UA interfaces and can thus be integrated seamlessly into IoT architectures on an OPC UA basis. Additionally, Laserline offers a retrofit solution for the OPC UA upgrade of existing systems. By the IoT integration of the laser, the switchover to a forward-planning or condition-depended maintenance inter alia is supported.

At EuroBLECH 2018, Laserline will present high-power diode lasers for all classical forms of metal processing. Additionally, processing optics and exhibits from various application fields will also be presented.

Diode laser specialist Laserline is expanding its management team to optimally position itself for further growth. Dr. Claus Narr became the company's third managing director on January 1, 2025. Dr. Narr, who holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering, can already look back on more than 13 successful years at the company and will now manage Laserline together with the founders Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause.

Diode laser specialist Laserline will be presenting sustainable solutions for the coating of wind turbine bearing bolts and brake discs as well as the additive manufacturing of copper components at formnext 2023. Improvements in energy and material efficiency are just as much in focus as environmental and climate protection as well as resource conservation through reduced process footprint. Diode laser specialist Laserline will present a new development phase of its Digital Laser Solutions for Industry 4.0 process architectures at the Schweisstec 2021 trade fair (October 26-29, Stuttgart, Germany, hall 7, booth 7307). In the meantime, not only beam sources but also processing optics with multi-spot module can be digitally programmed, controlled and monitored. The optics were developed specifically for joining applications. This enables the optimization of industrial brazing and welding processes, in addition to supporting the full integration of laser systems into a digitalized process control.

Aalen, July 2024 – Digital advice on lifting loads – that’s what the new BUDDYtron app from RUD has to offer. The tool assists you with the choice, assembly, visual inspection and repair of lifting means and lifting points and helps to make lifting processes safer and more efficient. The key component of the app is an extensive database, which, in addition to detailed information on all RUD products, also bundles numerous assembly and test instructions as well as valuable practical tips in the form of texts, images and videos.

At this year's InnoTrans, Schneider Electric will present an integrated portfolio for railway infrastructure digitalization. This includes SF6-free medium-voltage switchgear, software solutions from ETAP and AVEVA, and matching service offerings.

At Photonics West 2022, CeramOptec will present high-performance optical fibers for industrial, medical and laboratory applications. Emphasized are solutions for surface treatment and long-term UV applications. In addition to individual fibers, optical fiber bundles in various configurations will be introduced as well.
