Laserline is expanding its management trio to a quartet: Dr. Alexander Arndt has been appointed as the fourth Managing Director alongside Dr. Claus Narr and company founders Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause, effective January 1, 2026. The PhD-qualified mechanical engineer has been with Laserline since 2018 and has already held several key positions within the company. In his role as Managing Director, he is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Applications, as well as IT and Process Management.

Amphenol Sachsenkabel, formerly LWL-Sachsenkabel, leverages European development, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities to deliver high-performance fiber-optic solutions for data centers, industrial applications, and telecommunications across Europe. Diode laser specialist Laserline is expanding its management team to optimally position itself for further growth. Dr. Claus Narr became the company's third managing director on January 1, 2025. Dr. Narr, who holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering, can already look back on more than 13 successful years at the company and will now manage Laserline together with the founders Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause.

The Laserline company's presentation at the Laser World of Photonics 2022 focusses on technological innovation. To be presented are the first blue diode laser with 3 kW CW output power and a new high-power-cladding-solution using a 45 kW IR diode laser. The latter was developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer IWS.

At EuroBLECH 2024, Laserline will be presenting highly efficient solutions for processing sheet metal, copper and aluminum components. Key topics include multi-spot optics for application-optimized beam shaping, blue 4 kW CW diode lasers for copper welding and solutions for laser curing of powder coatings.

At this year's InnoTrans, Schneider Electric will present an integrated portfolio for railway infrastructure digitalization. This includes SF6-free medium-voltage switchgear, software solutions from ETAP and AVEVA, and matching service offerings.

Dr. Michael Müller (38) is the new General Manager of LWL-Sachsenkabel GmbH from 1st January 2023. Michael Müller who holds a PhD in mechanical engineering, succeeds Silvia Duus, who will retire after 15 years leading the company. He aims to continue the growth strategy of the established fiber optic cabling specialist and, above all, take advantage of the business opportunities in the field of broadband development.

Brussels, March 5, 2025 – UniversalAutomation.org (UAO) has reached another milestone: Founded in late 2021 by nine companies, the independent non-profit organization, which uses its technology to promote a vendor-independent automation approach, today has more than 100 members.
