RUD and its joint venture, RUD+SpanSet Ramstein, will be showcasing their comprehensive solutions for the handling of injection molds at the Fakuma 2026, which takes place from 12–16 October in Friedrichshafen. The presented portfolio covers all process steps, including lifting and positioning, rotation and turning, opening and closing and also ensures safe, efficient and ergonomic handling. First lifting point with DNV certification for subsea operations

Aalen, 1 September 2026 – RUD is expanding its range of tried-and-tested ACP-TURNADO lifting points to include one designed for maritime environments. The ACP-TURNADO OCEANSTAR is the first lifting point to be certified by DNV for subsea applications. It is therefore ideal for use in offshore structures, such as wind farms and drilling platforms, as well as in shipyards, subsea construction projects and the associated supply industry.

From manufacturing to maintenance: integrated system solutions from a single source

Tried-and-tested lifting and load-handling solutions for the railway industry – ranging from standardised components to fully customised load-handling devices – this is the focus of RUD and RUD+SpanSet Plauen at InnoTrans 2026 (22 to 25 September 2026, Hall 6.2b, Stand 420).

SPE Offshore Europe 2025: RUD presents onshore, offshore and subsea lifting technology

Aalen, August 2025 – At SPE Offshore Europe (2 to 5 September, Aberdeen, Scotland), RUD is going to focus on marine, offshore and subsea lifting technology solutions. Among other things, the company will present its broad portfolio of DNV-certified products for use in shallow water and the deep sea as well as on board ships, in ports and on offshore platforms. All the presented components have been developed for use under extreme conditions and meet the highest quality and safety requirements – even in changing and extreme weather conditions.

Digital Laser Solutions Laserline supports the development of fully networked-process architectures

Under the watchword ‘Digital Laser Solutions’, Laserline has expanded its portfolio with hardware and software solutions for the implementation of fully networked Industrie 4.0 process architectures. All Laserline LDF diode lasers are with immediate effect ex works available with OPC UA interfaces and can thus be integrated seamlessly into IoT architectures on an OPC UA basis. Additionally, Laserline offers a retrofit solution for the OPC UA upgrade of existing systems. By the IoT integration of the laser, the switchover to a forward-planning or condition-depended maintenance inter alia is supported.

RUD presents pluggable PIP-RAPIDO lifting point

Aalen, September 2024 – RUD expands its portfolio of lifting points: in addition to boltable and weldable models, the Aalen-based company now also offers a pluggable lifting point for the first time with the PIP-RAPIDO. Designed specifically for installation in through and undercut holes, it has a self-locking attachment mechanism that makes installation much easier and many times faster than with conventional lifting points.

Aalen, August 2025 – In 2025, RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG is looking back on 150 years of company history. What began in 1875 as a small forge for chains and wire components in the Unterkochen district of the Swabian city of Aalen has developed over one and a half centuries to become an internationally leading provider of chain and drive systems as well as fixtures and fittings. Laserline Expands Management

Diode laser specialist Laserline is expanding its management team to optimally position itself for further growth. Dr. Claus Narr became the company's third managing director on January 1, 2025. Dr. Narr, who holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering, can already look back on more than 13 successful years at the company and will now manage Laserline together with the founders Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause.

Laserline at EuroBrake 2024: Focus on cladding with 30 kW diode laser and double-sided coating of brake discs

At this year's EuroBrake, Laserline will be presenting highly efficient laser solutions for the environmentally friendly and economical series cladding of brake discs. In addition to cladding using 30 kW diode lasers, the focus will be on double-sided cladding and further improvements in process efficiency. The diode laser specialist will also be presenting new cladding nozzles for optimizing coating processes.

formnext 2025: Laserline Presents First 30 kW Zoom Optics

Laserline will be presenting innovative optics solutions for industrial laser cladding at formnext 2025. The focus will be on a newly developed 30 kW zoom optic for flexible cladding processes, a new specialized optic for wear and corrosion protection coatings on internal geometries, and blue high brightness lasers for the additive manufacturing of non-ferrous metal components using laser-based powder bed processes.

New record: UniversalAutomation.org now has more than 100 members

Brussels, March 5, 2025 – UniversalAutomation.org (UAO) has reached another milestone: Founded in late 2021 by nine companies, the independent non-profit organization, which uses its technology to promote a vendor-independent automation approach, today has more than 100 members.
